Picking an assassin to play is essentially picking 1/6 not 1/3. I would recommend playing what you enjoy over what sounds like the most DPS since at the end of the day, whoever has the best gear will do the most damage.Paladin is the most fun to progress. But half of lost ark player base jsut want to get bussed anyway so they don't care. There's definitely an issue with how paladins are generally perceived. No argument that it's an easy class to play, because it's straightforward but that does't necessarily make it boring.The class can stay at mid range and just dish out damage even if the guardian gets in your face you can just shield or use a ability with protection ruin or one of the build in shields in the damaging abilities. So at least for gunlancer the class doesn't really feel fun till you get the actual abilities your class will use (level 30 and so on). The test a class function not really representative of many classes since it just gives you the base 8 abilities you get after going through the prologue.Personally think Eso WD and Striker (either variation, but probably wouldn't go for Deathblow as an early alt) are incredibly fun. The burst is just so satisfying, shes like one punchman for pve. Scrapper has a cult following in Korea. They love it.My favourite class is arcanist, but it's not really a good choice for a new player. Very investment heavy and takes quite a bit of practice to pilot it. Personally, I'd suggest picking a DPS class as your first for the story, getting to Punika and then boosting a support with the Punika pass. Actually there are 7 sharpshooters in top 100 right now in KR. Seems to me like Paladin is the worst as there is only 1 paladin in the top 100. They are the most annoying class to deal with. A Tier: Artillerist, Deathblade, Glaivier, Sorceress, Striker. B Tier: Destroyer, Scrapper, Shadowhunter, Sharpshooter, Soulfist. C Tier: Deadeye, Wardancer. In total, there are 17 subclasses in Lost Ark, with seven options for male characters and nine for female characters. Whichever ...Destroyer - Imagine putting all your eggs in one basket. Pro: great stats all around. Con: prone to missing important skills. Berserker - Auto-click simulator. Pro: best identity & 2nd best awakening. Con: long cooldowns & mana issue. Holy Knight - White bread of classes. Pro: can support while doing decent damage. The reasons to play it are the highish apm, high mobility, high stagger, high destruction, two built in class dashes, and general tankiness. It also has one of the best "flows" out of all the classes I have played. Kind of hard to describe, but when I started playing it I instantly fell in love with how it felt. Lancer ( Martial Artist) Paladin (Warrior) Reaper (Assassin) Fist of Souls ( Martial Artist ) Scrapper (Martial Artist) Marksman (Gunner) The classes listed here are based on which classes are easy to learn and most forgiving of mistakes. An important thing to remember is that gunlancer scales extremely well with engravings, especially blue lancer - since your shield is basically always up (if you have specialization & time your shout right) a lot of the negatives to engravings are basically negligible. Gunlancer is a dps class just like the rest. As a Deadeye main (with a 1490 GS alt), I think it's one of the most fun classes in the game, the other being Gunslinger and I see why so many people would rather play Gunslinger. I have every class at 1370+ (except deadeye fuck that class, and glaivier) Bard is the most fun. Followed by gravity Destroyer, red Gunlancer, swiftness gunslinger. The rest are all pretty even. Pally is probably the most boring class in the game. There's no player expression and creativity; it's all cookie cutter..
